Bachelor of Public health
Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) or Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSc Public Health) is an undergraduate course in public health sciences. The duration of the course is of 4 years inclusive of industrial visits, research projects and internship.
BHP course imparts knowledge and skills in students for public healthcare programmes where they get to study subjects focusing on healthcare programmes, policies, and recent developments, social, behavioral and environmental health. Moreover, they also study about human anatomy, diseases, and other relevant subjects like women’s health, child & adolescents’ health and nutrition. Besides, BPH course has important subjects like health economics, ethics & laws of public health, disaster management and health system management.
After completing BPH course, a student has potential to work with public health organisations, in critical care and emergency wards of hospitals, maternity care, child-care and as nutrition consultant etc.
